Mark Schinsky, M.D.

Dr. Mark Schinsky is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with specialties in Adult Reconstructive Orthopaedic Surgery, Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery, and Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his medical degree from Columbia University,
College of Physicians & Surgeons, in New York and trained at the most prestigious Orthopaedic training programs including Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis and RUSH University in Chicago.
He has extensive experience in practice and has performed thousands of hip and knee replacements. He specializes in minimally invasive, complex primary, and revision adult total joint replacement surgery using the latest technology on patients from Chicagoland and across the country who travel for his skill and expertise.
Dr. Schinsky has helped to design several novel orthopaedic implants and continues to travel nationally and internationally to educate and train other orthopaedic surgeons on the latest total joint replacement techniques, implants, and surgical procedures.

Thomas Obermeyer, MD

Dr. Thomas Obermeyer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery and sports medicine. He has completed advanced fellowship training among the most highly regarded academic physicians in the United States and in Europe. He is recognized as a leading shoulder subspecialist, offering state of the art arthroscopic repair, complex shoulder replacement, and revision shoulder surgery. David Garelick, M.D.

Dr. David Garelick is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He provides excellent comprehensive care for shoulder and knee conditions. In the shoulder, his expertise includes caring for rotator cuff injuries, labral tears, and degenerative arthritis. For the knee, Dr. Garelick provides a wide spectrum of care ranging from ligament injuries and meniscal tears to total knee replacement.
He performs most of his surgeries arthroscopically and with other minimally invasive techniques which accelerate healing and help to diminish pain. Dr. Garelick is active in resident and fellowship education, serving as a faculty member of the University of Illinois Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship as well as the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship through Presence Resurrection Medical Center. He has also served as a team physician for U.S. Soccer, and currently serves as the team physician for St. Patrick High School. In addition, he has designed medical products and holds two patents, including a hand brace used for treating Boxer’s David fractures.
Kern Singh, M.D.

Dr. Kern Singh has an international reputation in the area of minimally invasive spinal surgery. He frequently teaches minimally invasive techniques to neurosurgeons and spinal surgeons from around the world and most recently was an invited guest lecturer to Saudi Arabia. He is also extensively involved in designing new minimally invasive spinal instrumentation for cutting-edge spinal surgery. He is one of the few surgeons in the United States performing Endoscopic Spine Surgery.
Dr. Singh's clinical interests include the minimally invasive treatment of complex degenerative disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Dr. Singh also specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of spinal tumors and adult spinal deformities.
Dr. Singh is known for his excellent outcomes and his use of cutting-edge procedures. He is an award-winning researcher and has published his findings in major medical journals (more than 200 publications, presentations and book chapters). He most recently won awards for his research including Best Paper at the North American Spine Society (NASS) and Society of Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery (SMISS) International Meetings in 2013. He frequently trains surgeons who observe his newly advanced surgical techniques in the operating room. He is also the principal researcher in several FDA clinical trials involving cervical disc replacements and motion-preserving spinal technology.
Dr. Singh is listed in Becker's Orthopedic Spine and Pain Management as one of the nation's Top 100 spine surgeons and specialists. He was also awarded the "Top 10" Doctor Award, Most Compassionate Doctor, and Patient's Choice Award from Vitals.com. Dr. Singh was also appointed to serve as the chair of the Spine Program Committee for the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting from 2017-2020.
A graduate of Jefferson Medical College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Singh completed his training at Emory University in a combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical spine fellowship.
Catherine Krenz Doan (Moderator)

Catherine Krenz Doan is a partner with Rubin Law Group, Ltd. She concentrates her practice in the area of workers’ compensation law. Ms. Doan graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse with highest honors and received her law degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law magna cum laude. She is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Catherine was a notes and comments editor for the Chicago Kent Law Review.She has authored various articles for the IICLE, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She has also participated in seminars for IICLE. Ms. Doan is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
Doan has been selected by her Illinois peers as an Emerging Lawyer from 2016 to present, a distinction awarded by Leading Lawyers.
